FVA Spotlight: Joe Cliver, Hortonville Football, Wrestling and Baseball
Each week during the 2015-16 school year, the Fox Valley Association will feature two student-athletes (one male and one female) from one of its 10 schools for a "Student-Athlete Spotlight" Q & A segment. The segments will be posted every Tuesday and Thursday and individuals are selected by the school.

Favorite aspect of your school: This year I enjoy my classes and my teachers. Being a senior this year I had the ability to choose some different classes I am very interested in. Plus the teachers and staff are great. I have so many close relationships with the staff that have been built over the years.
If you have been involved in community service projects, which has been most rewarding and why? My favorite community service project that I did was volunteering to help coach a youth flag football team with a few of my teammates. It allowed me to help teach the younger kids about a sport I am passionate about. I got to make a lot of memories and hopefully was a positive role model to them.
College or post-high school plans: I plan to go to a 4-year college and play baseball.

Favorite youth coach: My Dad
What is the best advice one of your coaches has given you? My wrestling coach talks about how he isn't just there to help us win matches. He coaches us in all aspects of life. He wants us to have good morals, be hard working, loyal, and trustworthy. Those principles are the things that make us successful.
Something people would be surprised to know about me is…: I like to water ski and wake board during the summer

Favorite memory from being involved in co-curricular activities is…: When I qualified for state wrestling last year
