FVA Spotlight: Joe Vils, Oshkosh West Basketball, Football and Track and Field
Each week during the 2015-16 school year, the Fox Valley Association will feature two student-athletes (one male and one female) from one of its 10 schools for a "Student-Athlete Spotlight" Q & A segment. The segments will be posted every Tuesday and Thursday and individuals are selected by the school.

Favorite aspect of your school: We have the best fans ever. They are always at sporting events and cheering as loud as possible.
If you have been involved in community service projects, which has been most rewarding and why? Working with special education students at Oshkosh West has been very rewarding. One activity we do is take them to the Appleton mall for Christmas shopping every year. This make me realize how fortunate I am to be able to play sports and even everyday activities.
College or post-high school plans: Attending UW-Oshkosh and compete on the track & field team.
What is your desired major/career field? Engineering Technology-Mechanical Engineering
What is your favorite class? Physics

Favorite youth coach: Coach Whittaker
What is the best advice one of your coaches has given you? Winners never quit and quitters never win.
Something people would be surprised to know about me is…: I can ride a 5 foot unicycle and shoot baskets at the same time.
Favorite place to play on the road in the FVA? Neenah
Favorite memory from being involved in co-curricular activities is…: Hanging out with all my buddies and telling jokes.
