FVA Spotlight: Taylor Borchers, Appleton North Baseball

Each week during the 2015-16 school year, the Fox Valley Association will feature two student-athletes (one male and one female) from one of its 10 schools for a "Student-Athlete Spotlight" Q & A segment. The segments will be posted every Tuesday and Thursday and individuals are selected by the school.

Favorite aspect of your school: I love having a good bond with my teachers, it helps you communicate one on one with them if you are having any problems in or out of the classroom
 
College or post-high school plans: I will be attending Gonzaga University to further my education and continue playing baseball.
 
What is your desired major/career field? Elementary Education.

Favorite youth coach: Mike Barela 
 
What is the best advice one of your coaches has given you? Baseball is a game of failure. Players in the big leagues fail 7/10 times and are considered some of the best in the game. 
 
Something people would be surprised to know about me is…: I was born and raised in Southern California for 12 years. I moved here a couple months before high school began. 
 
Favorite place to play on the road in the FVA? Appleton West
