Name: Trevor Coenen

Favorite aspect of your school: My favorite aspect of Hortonville High School is the close-knit feeling the school has. All of the teachers know all of the students and everyone is always checking up on one another and making sure everyone is able to become successful both academically and socially.

If you have been involved in community service projects, which has been most rewarding and why? In June of 2015 I was involved with a church mission trip to Mobile, AL and on that trip I spent the week working with Habitat for Humanity. Through that work I was able to see how much different my life is than people of other communities and it was a truly eye opening experience and really made me appreciate everything that my parents are able to provide for me and also the safe and inviting community I live in.

College or post-high school plans: I currently intend on continuing my education at a 4-year university (Still currently undecided where) and then hopefully continuing further into medical school.

What is your desired major/career field? My career aspiration is to become an anesthesiologist.

What is your favorite class? Spanish

Who is your favorite teacher? Prof. Rowe

Favorite youth coach: Rich Kuranda

What is the best advice one of your coaches has given you? My varsity football coach, Tom Kolosso, is one of the best coaches I have ever had and I am really going to miss his constant encouragement to be the best I can be, not only in sports but also in life. His advice is impossible to repeat because it was always something new everyday that was just some added motivation to pursue my dreams and try to reach my full potential.

Something people would be surprised to know about me is…: I hate fruits and vegetables. I barely ever eat them because I can't stand the taste. I force myself to eat grapes, oranges, pineapple, and carrots occasionally only because I know I have to for sports. It's always funny for me because people never believe me because it's just expected that I would eat them with all of the sports I compete in.

Favorite place to play on the road in the FVA? Football: Fond du Lac; Basketball: Kaukauna; Track: Kimberly

Favorite athlete to compete against in the FVA: Jordan McCabe- Kaukauna

Favorite memory from being involved in co-curricular activities is…: Basketball this past winter was the most fun loving and energetic team I've ever been on. Every day was something new and there wasn't a single member of the team I didn't consider family to me.

Favorite professional team: Green Bay Packers

Favorite professional athlete: Rob Gronkowski
