Fox Valley Association

Each week during the 2014-15 year beginning in late October, the Fox Valley Association will feature two student-athletes (one male and one female) from one of its 10 schools for a "Student-Athlete Spotlight" Q & A segment. The segments will be posted every Tuesday and Thursday and individuals are selected by the school.

Favorite aspect of your school: My teachers provide me an opportunity to succeed. If I do not understand a certain lesson, I go into their room before or after school and they are always willing to make sure I understand what that lesson was by the time I leave.

Favorite aspect about being involved in school activities: Being on a team is so rewarding. I was able to meet new people, make new friends, and learn teamwork skills that are also needed beyond school sports.

If you have been involved in community service projects, which has been most rewarding and why? Volunteering to ring bells for the Salvation Army has been most rewarding for me. It was amazing to see how many people take time out of their day to donate. 

College or post-high school plans: I plan on attending UW-Whitewater.

What is your desired major/career field? I want to major in accounting.

What is the best advice one of your coaches has given you? The best advice one of my coaches has given me was that you need to care for each of your teammates. You don't have to be best friends with them, but care for all of them.

Something people would be surprised to know about me is…: My club team, Vis Major, started in the lowest soccer league and won our way up to the most competitive league, Midwest Regional League (MRL).
