Favorite aspect of your school: I love the teachers, they have to do the same thing year after year, but they never lose enthusiasm or willingness to help me or other students get better. They make learning the material fun and are really easy to get along with, which makes it easier to approach them if I have a question.

Favorite aspect about being involved in school activities: I love that on big meet days, everyone on the team is wearing their team jacket or special t-shirt and if we see each other in the halls, we kind of cheer at each other because we know later on we'll be working together at the race to do as well as we can.

If you have been involved in community service projects, which has been most rewarding and why? I walk dogs at the humane society and I want to be a vet when I grow up. Being able to somewhat help heal an emotionally hurt animal and get them adoptable again makes it all worth it.

College or post-high school plans: I plan on attending Iowa State University to major in Animal Science and hopefully minor in Biology and Spanish.

What is your desired major/career field? I plan on being a vet.

What is your favorite class? UW-Biology

Who is your favorite teacher? Mr. Kenneth Levine

Favorite book: Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Series

Favorite youth coach: My Mom and Dad for t-ball

What is the best advice one of your coaches has given you? Pain is only temporary; these fast 100s off the blocks are going to hurt.

Something people would be surprised to know about me is…: I was born in South Carolina and have lived in four other places. (Sun Prairie, WI, Redding, CA, Portage IN, Oshkosh, WI) My brother was born in Georgia.

Favorite place to play on the road in the FVA? Neenah High School pool

Favorite memory from being involved in co-curricular activities is…: breaking the 50 freestyle freshmen record. It had been my goal all season and at the Sectionals meets, my last chance, I took 3rd place (missing state by 0.09 of a second) but broke the record. What made it more memorable was when I went to look at the timing board, I could see the excitement on my assistant coach Tracy Zook’s face.

Favorite professional team: Pittsburgh Penguins

Favorite professional athlete: Missy Franklin

Favorite person to follow on Twitter: I don't have a Twitter, too mainstream for me

A non-athletic talent I have is…: playing clarinet
