Kelly (Leintz) Franzen, Menasha Basketball, Tennis and Track and Field (1984)

Kelly (Leintz) Franzen was a three-sport standout at Menasha High School and graduated in 1984. She went on to star in basketball and tennis at Northwest Missouri State University and is in the school's Athletics Hall of Fame. Here is an update of her accomplishments and where he is now:

Undergraduate College Attended: Northwest Missouri State 

Academic Major: Business

Primary College Athletic Achievements: MIAA singles titles all 4 years, MIAA doubles champion 2 years, 1987 MIAA Tennis Champions, 57-6 career singles record, 46-8 carrier doubles record;
South Central Region All-American for basketball 1987, 2nd team MIAA all conference 1987, first team MIAA all conference 1988, conference leader in rebounds 1987, 2nd in conference in scoring 1987, NWMSU single game scoring record (39), 1,404 career points, 710 career rebounds, .505 career field goal percentage, NWMSU Athletic Hall of Fame for basketball and tennis

What game/event against an FVA opponent stands out in your memory and why? Winning 400 meter relay, 100 meters and long jump and heading to state

Who was your favorite athlete you competed against in the FVA? Lisa Jahner, Appleton West basketball

Who was your favorite FVA team to compete against? Neenah

What makes you most proud of your high school? team spirit always

Please share any other great memories of competing in the FVA: loved the close proximity of the schools in the conference, made it easy for my family to be able to see me 

Please share anything else you have done or accomplished since high school that is noteworthy: we currently have 10,000+ Christmas trees and operate a tree lot in Madison; happily married for 21 years and counting
