Note: Information regarding spectator policies was updated on Nov. 24.
All 10 Fox Valley Association schools will participate in winter sports with strict safety protocols in place across the conference.
All winter events will be held with limited or no spectators and masks or face coverings will be required among all spectators, workers, coaches, officials and athletes (except swimmers in the pool). Additionally, at those events with spectators, basketball and hockey venues will be cleared between the junior varsity and varsity contests. Schools will also screen athletes prior to the start of each contest and follow the WIAA Return to Winter Sports Guidelines.
Hortonville, Kaukauna, Kimberly and Neenah will permit two spectators per athlete from each competing school at home events. Appleton, Fond du Lac and Oshkosh schools will not permit spectators at home events, but will comply with home team rules related to spectators being able to attend games in person. Appleton will revisit its decision in January. These regulations are in place for all winter sports: boys and girls basketball, boys and girls hockey, boys swimming and diving and wrestling.
Every varsity conference event in all sports will be live streamed and archived for at least seven days. Links for the live streams will be made available on the conference website at fvasports.net.
Each sport will conduct its regular conference schedule and have the opportunity for a full non-conference schedule with the exception of wrestling. Wrestling teams are limited to one dual match per week over eight weeks, per WIAA guidelines. Wrestling duals will be held on the first three Saturdays in December and on Tuesday, December 29. In January, wrestling will conduct its traditional Thursday night schedule.
Events in any sport not played due to a COVID issue involving one of the schools will be declared a no contest and the schools will attempt to reschedule. All spectator guidelines will be enforced for non-conference games played at FVA sites.
