Kaukauna Completes Undefeated Season With Sixth State Softball Crown

Kaukauna completed a perfect 27-0 season and won its sixth WIAA state softball title with a 1-0 victory over Kenosha Bradford on June 14 in Madison.

The Galloping Ghosts have now won four of the past five state titles and are 135-1 over their past 136 games. They won on Saturday despite one hit, but it led to their run as Lily Boyle doubled in Karly Meredith from second base in the fourth inning. Kaukauna struck out 18 times in the game against Bradford pitcher Brooklynn Danielson, matching a Division 1 state tournament record.

Meredith allowed just five hits and struck out four in the shutout. Kaukauna also won state softball titles in 2010, 2017, 2021, 2022 and 2023. It marked the 18th state softball title won by an FVA school and the seventh in the past 11 state tournaments.

It marked Kaukauna's 32nd state title in all sports with 20 of those coming since 2014.
