FVA Spotlight: Sydney Squier, Appleton North Basketball, Cross Country and Track and Field
Each week during the 2015-16 school year, the Fox Valley Association will feature two student-athletes (one male and one female) from one of its 10 schools for a "Student-Athlete Spotlight" Q & A segment. The segments will be posted every Tuesday and Thursday and individuals are selected by the school.

Favorite aspect of your school: Being able to learn and do the sport I love at the same time is my favorite aspect of school.
If you have been involved in community service projects, which has been most rewarding and why? Volunteer at the Fox Valley Humane Society. It is amazing helping many of the animals that are sent there. Most of them have been neglected or abused. It is just very rewarding to know you are helping them. Also, I help with the Inspire Sport Nights. It's inspirational to interact with kids with special needs.
College or post-high school plans: I'm only a freshman. I plan on going to college, but I haven't decided where.
What is your favorite class? Math

Favorite youth coach: Tim Riebau
What is the best advice one of your coaches has given you? To just go out and play or run. Don´t worry about the uncontrollables. You do what you need to do.
Something people would be surprised to know about me is…: I have a passion for books.

Favorite memory from being involved in co-curricular activities is…: Breaking the 4x400 record with my teammates Iris Hertting, Annaliese Peebles and Alyssa Gruender

What is your dream job? Veterinarian
